How can I fax a letter from the Internet?

I need to get in touch with someone but only have their fax number. I don’t have a fax machine. Was wondering if there is some way to do it over the net. I have a Mac and a PC if that helps resolve the issue.

What is a good way to fax documents over the internet from a Macintosh?

I would need to fax only about 20-30 faxes per year, throughout the year. Since I travel a lot I wouldn’t have access to a dedicated phone/fax line, so I’d like something that I could use via the internet.
Does anybody have any solutions for a Macintosh that they’ve used and which they would recommend?

How do you use a fax machine through the internet?

I have a regular phone line with no long distance service.
I have yahoo DSL.
I am looking into buying a printer/copier/fax at say a Best Buy or Fry’s Electronics, what models would work with faxing over the internet?
Most importantly, how would I fax using the internet and if possible bypassing a phone long distance company?
